Mycorrhizal effects on glomalin-related soil protein and chlorophyll contents in coffee plants in the Peruvian Amazon

ABSTRACT The inoculation of vegetatively propagated coffee plants with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) prior to field establishment may positively influence the plant growth and physiology. This study aimed evaluate AMF effects on glomalin-related soil protein chlorophyll contents in inoculated a greenhouse transplanted an open field, Peruvian Amazon. experiment consisted eight treatments, 2 × 4 factorial design, being two varieties (Caturra Pache) four inocula (control, Moyobamba, El Dorado Huallaga). were collected from organic crops named according province which they collected. colonization content statistically higher AMF, if compared non-inoculated plants, while ranged 61.6 69.1 mg g-1 showed no significant differences among inocula, although Moyobamba inoculum be numerically superior. effect variety was not variables under study.
